We've Got - A Six Ticks Brand

We've Got Privacy

Summary

We do not sell your data or give it away in any way, shape, or form (unless to comply with the law) and we cannot access any of your media, contacts, messages, etc.
We may contact you if you have contacted us and there is functionality in the app for you to send in pictures and messages, but we cannot access anything on your phone unless you specifically send it in to us.
You will always have the option to unsubscribe/opt-out from communications.

Worried About the Phone Privacy Settings?

There's nothing to worry about. As developers, it is annoying that these permissions are not more descriptive and some are even quite misleading.
To clarify, we do not collect any personally identifiable data and cannot access any files, information, etc on your device, unless you specifically chose to share it with us (E.g. signing up to our mailing list or sending in a selfie).

Here is a quick break-down of the privacy settings:

  1. Background Location: You may see a message saying the app "has been using your location in the background. Do you want to continue allowing this?". This is another misleading message, this time from Apple. Rest assured, the app is not tracking your movements! It just means that when you next open the app, your location will be ready for the app to use when you check location based content (E.g. maps).
We do not store any of your location information and cannot see any location data of our users, live or historical!
  2. Identity: Standard on most apps - we do not see any of your identity information.
  3. Location: This is used to provide turn-by-turn directions within the map and also to calculate distances from your location to various locations, such as shops and restaurants.
We do not store any of your location information and cannot see any location data of our users, live or historical!
  4. Photos/Media/Files: IF you decide to add a photo of yours to our gallery, or submit a photo for a competition, the app needs to be able to access the photo you decide to share.
We do not have access to your photos! We only have access to photos that you specifically choose to share with us!
  5. Camera: As above, IF you chose to share a photo with us, this can be from your camera or from previously taken images. If you choose to take an image there and then to share with us, the app needs to be able to access the photo you have just taken for that purpose.
We cannot access your camera or any photos you do not decide to share!
  6. Microphone: The app has the capability to allow you to record audio (although we have not yet enabled this feature). If we decide to activate this feature, you will be able to send in audio reviews and/or just make audio notes for yourself through the app.
We have absolutely no control over your microphone and cannot access any audio that you don't specifically decide to share with us!
  7. Wi-Fi Connection Information: The app requires an internet connection and this enables the connection to be from a Wi-Fi source, as well as from mobile data.
None of this data is stored or ever viewed by anyone!.
  8. Full Network Access/View Network Connections: Exactly the same as the Wi-Fi connection, except this relates to mobile data. It is purely to allow you to access the app over mobile data.
  9. Device ID & Call Information: Another misleading title unfortunately. We do not access your call information, but the app does need to check your Device ID to allow you to log in to your social media accounts if you decide to do so.
  10. Read Google Service Configuration: This allows us to present you with the correct app version for your device.
  11. Control Vibration: Some actions on the app can make the phone vibrate (E.g. if a warning message appears).
We cannot randomly make your phone vibrate, even if you did want us to!
